About

The Mindbuilders, also known as Mindbuilders Robotics, are a group of talented youth who joined together to form the community robotics team. They are located in Folsom, California and have been competing in their region consistently receiving praise for their unique approach to accomplishing tasks and their teamwork. They have been with the organization For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, also known as FIRST, for 4 years and participate in their yearly worldwide robotics competition called FIRST Lego League. FIRST Lego League makes competitors explore different themes by creating real-world solutions to problems pertaining to that theme and by also creating a robot game in which teams design a robot to accomplish tasks that are also related to the theme.

What is First?

FIRST is a global non-profit organization that has a mission to challenge youth "to be science and technology leaders and innovators" by organizing competitions that build STEM related skills and trains them to be leaders and communicators. Founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen, FIRST helps run FLL in over 110 countries along with their other programs.
